ID case

Through detailed research and market understanding, the ID Case was developed to add value to the growing cellphone accessories industry. The first of its kind, the case was extremely well received in the market and is still one of Case-mate's top selling products. A very innovative card grip solution grips the 2 cards without the magnetic strip touching each other or the phone.

Blocks

A juxtaposition to overtly designed accessories on the market, the blocks collection is inspired from the basic shapes and forms that are used to create objects. Instead of complicating the visual language, i wanted to take away all the unnecessary clutter surrounding the products. In the name of branding logo's and graphics are used and sometimes over used. I wanted the form itself to create a brand.

Camellia - Teapot

Tea is consumed everywhere in the world. Time is a critical factor in tea preparation. This lead me to be inspired by the form of an hourglass. In the bigger picture i call the concept " UNITEA in DIVERSITEA ". The goal is to unite cultures by this simple teapot that can brew/steep tea in any method of preparation. A clear understanding of how tea is made in various cultures was crucial in designing this product.

Ergo Hand Vac

An in depth ergonomic study about musculoskeletal disorders in a home environment led to the design of the ergo. Started as an interesting experiment combining the principles of human factors and ergonomics with speed form styling and led to interesting results. A complete case study with EMG testing and prototype testing with more than ten subjects was conducted to validate the physical form.

Identity Design - Ardour Engineering

Ardour engineering is a company that manufactures industrial blowers and wanted an entire redesign of their brand. Ardour means eagerness and zeal. I wanted that to reflect in the identity which is why the color orange was chosen. To keep the logo iconic i added the shape of a blower, but also resembles A. I wanted to keep a clean and focussed aesthetic to the brand.

Grand Toura - Pontoon boat

Competing in the international boat design competition, i chose the pontoon boat as it was one of most neglected products in the entire category. My goal was to enhance the image of the Pontoon boat to a sophisticated product that would put it in the category of luxury boats. To achieve this radical improvements both in form and function were conceived. Using the piezo electric effect, the kinetic energy of the water hitting the pontoons are converted into potential energy and stored in batteries. Inspired by architectural concepts, Grand Toura has an open feel to enjoy the cool breeze and the blue sky over the water.
